Here's a 2 part interview with Sylvia. She's being featured on a West Coast Swing podcast which could seem a bit incongruous nowadays but she was a part of that scene in the 70's and 80's. Having learned directly from Dean Collins, who WCS dancers cite as an elder, she was involved in the years before and after his passing. She judged, competed, and won stuff at the US Open (their ILHC) and saw many important changes in their scene. She's a smart lady and it's a good listen.
